The protagonist is a psychiatric survivor. The confrontation with the hospital institution resembles Kafka’s “The Trial” – a no‑way‑out situation. Only the decision to push through the thorny bushes of reality turns out to be her salvation, when she encounters alternative perspectives offered by bird‑like people leaning toward change. Choice becomes a path that splits in two: accepting the existing situation, or continuing the fight – now guided by the newly discovered reasons for rebellion, including a redefinition of mental illness.
