Submissions are now open for the National and International Short Film Competitions of the 5th FREEDOM Film Festival in Radom. Polish and international productions exploring the many dimensions of freedom can be submitted until April 10, 2026.
FREEDOM Film Festival returns to Radom on July 8 for its fifth edition, once again bringing audiences bold, original, and boundary-pushing cinema. Do you explore the idea of freedom in your work? Submit your film to one of the festival’s competitions:
- National Short Film Competition – open to films produced in Poland with a Polish producer or co-producer.
- International Short Film Competition – open to films from around the world.
What kind of films are we looking for?
- With a maximum runtime of 40 minutes.
- Produced after April 10, 2024.
- Any form, theme or genre is welcome. However, the selection committee—Marta Karnkowska and Anna Andriushchenko, together with artistic director Łukasz Adamski—notes that the selection process is guided not only by the quality of the submitted films, but also by how they engage with the broader concept of freedom.
I’m looking for the newest and most compelling Polish productions that explore the idea of freedom — both directly and metaphorically. I’m particularly interested in films that reflect on the freedom of individuals, nations, and communities, as well as creative freedom and the freedom of speech, thought, choice, memory, and expression. For me, FREEDOM Film Festival is not only a place to showcase films, but above all a space to meet their creators. I’m especially looking forward to the conversations after the screenings, when we can sit down together and talk about the ideas and stories behind each film.

You may submit multiple films. Please note, however, that each film may be entered into only one competition, which you will select in the submission form.
The submission deadline is April 10, 2026.
